Used to be Good food and reasonably priced and built it's reputation on that. but not home made or reasonably priced anymore . microwaved ready made food is ok for fast food restaurants but not the supposedly Famous Farm cafe won't be famous much longer. Very dated furniture been there for donkeys years. Won't be going again anytime soon
Stopped for breakfast after a long night of work and feeling very hungry, ordered the large Big Farm Breakfast (minus egg) and it arrived at the table within minutes.Food was very nice and well cooked - not under/over done - and I ate every bit.Restaurant was clean and tidy throughout with clean cutlery and tables (which is rare in this part of the country). Not many people were seated at the time I visited but I've seen this place get very busy at times, don't be put off by the volume of cars outside as there is ample seating inside.Overall it was a great choice for breakfast.
Great stop on anywhere to or from Norfolk. Sophisticated is not but honest and old fashioned truck stop of a kind you dont see any more. Clean tables and hard working staff. It would be wrong to arrive with too high expectations but far better than any motorway service station.
Whenever we travel on the A17 we tend to stop at the Farm Cafe, we have seen improvements to the service area.It is much more spacious as they have removed a counter selling non food items.There are also prepared sandwiches and an excellent choice of cakes, including gluten free and a selection if cold drinks. The selection of hot meals and snacks is huge and all very reasonably priced.The eating area is large and can cope with coach loads. It is furnished quite basically with pictures of a bygone day for sale but this adds to its charm.It is a transport cafe and fulfills it's purpose wonderfully. It also has comfort rooms and a fruit & vegetable shop adjoining. A great place.
Visited for the first time today.Had passed many times but never stopped. Very impressed by the choice of menu ,snacks, drinks and cakes on offer. First class service and high quality food .Will certainly visit again .
